Eloy de Jong – From Caught in the Act to Celebrated Solo Artist
Eloy de Jong, born on March 13, 1973 in The Hague, is no longer a hidden gem – but a well-established name in German Schlager music. His musical journey began in the 1990s as a member of the boyband Caught in the Act, with whom he sold over 20 million records in Germany and the Netherlands and celebrated chart successes.
After the band disbanded in 1998, he took a bold step: in 2004 he made his solo comeback with “Angel In Disguise” – the start of a new chapter. However, his greatest musical transformation occurred starting in 2018, when he ventured into the German Schlager genre. His album “Kopf aus – Herz an” reached number one on the German charts and marked an emotional triumph.
His repertoire speaks from the heart: hits like “Egal was andere sagen,” “Liebe kann so weh tun” (duet with Marianne Rosenberg), or the powerful “Bist du’s oder bist du’s nicht” (duet with Beatrice Egli) delight millions of fans.
With each song, Eloy tells a story that goes straight to the soul – about love, genuine emotion, and the strength to stay true to oneself. His voice blends classic Schlager tradition with modern pop aesthetics and resonates with listeners of all ages.
