General Guidelines for Youth Protection

At concerts and events

We care about the protection of children and young people. To ensure that all visitors can enjoy our events safely and without worry, clear rules for youth protection based on the Youth Protection Act (JuSchG) and additional guidelines from organizers and municipalities apply at our concerts.

Legal Basis: Youth Protection Law at Concerts

Concerts are not considered dance events and therefore do not fall under § 5 of the Youth Protection Law (JuSchG).
This means: The age and time restrictions specified there generally do not apply directly to concert events.
Nevertheless, organizers or local authorities (e.g., municipalities) can impose additional youth protection requirements to protect the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of minors.

The MEWES Entertainment Group has also defined its own admission rules to protect young visitors, which are based on age groups.

Children Aged 0 to 5 Years

  • No Access to the Event (unless it is a specifically designated event for this age group).
  • Attendance at concerts is not allowed for this age group to ensure the hearing and well-being of the children.
  • Children should ideally wear suitable hearing protection when attending any concert event.
  • In special circumstances, different regulations may be in effect depending on local factors or the nature of the event.
Please check in advance with the relevant venue or organizer.
  • From the age of six, children are regarded as full-paying guests (except for specially designated events).

Minors Under 16 Years

Minors under 16 years may attend an event only when accompanied by an adult supervisor (at least 18 years old).
The following documents must be presented at the entrance:

  1. Power of attorney for guardianship, signed by a parent
  2. Copy of the ID of the signing parent
  3. ID of the accompanying adult
  4. ID of the minor

This regulation serves to ensure the protection of minors and also allows for a responsible concert experience.

Young People Ages 16 to Under 18

Young individuals aged 16 to 18 years are generally permitted to attend concerts unaccompanied, but only until midnight. For events that continue past midnight, accompaniment along with appropriate authorizations and identification (see previous point) is required.
A valid student or ID card must be shown at entry to verify age.
Please be aware: Event organizers or local authorities may enforce specific restrictions or earlier event end times.
