The RILKE PROJEKT

On the occasion of the 150th birthday of Rainer Maria Rilke, Angelica Fleer & Richard Schönherz have once again engaged with the artistic works and texts of the great poet. They present with “So viel Himmel” Europe’s most successful and multiple award-winning poetry project 2025/2026 on stage. The Rilke Project features a condensed cast, consisting of Richard Schönherz (piano), actress Nina Hoger (recitation/reading), Ali Neander (guitar), and Dominik Steegmüller (singer) from the ensemble.

Richard Schönherz and Angelica Fleer are known for their creative and prominently cast poetry projects, for which the artist duo continually receives top honors. In their latest Rilke project “… so viel Himmel,” they once again dive into the artistic works and texts of the great poet. It is one of the most successful poetry events that have no equal across Europe.

The music for the well-known and highly poetic as well as timeless Rilke poems was specially composed by the artist duo. They always manage to present Rainer Maria Rilke’s poems in a modern light and interpret Rilke in a contemporary manner without betraying the poetic essence of his verses. This project explores the entire emotional depth inherent in Rilke’s inexhaustible oeuvre.
