Suzi Quatro: Rock Icon, Trailblazer, Fan Beacon

Suzi Quatro is a phenomenon. As a teenager in Detroit, she formed the band The Pleasure Seekers with her sisters, where she learned to play the massive bass and took center stage as the frontwoman. Discovered by producer Mickie Most, she moved to London in the early 1970s and shaped the glam rock era with hits like “Can the Can” (1973), “48 Crash”, “Devil Gate Drive”, and the duet “Stumblin’ In” with Chris Norman – achieving initial chart success worldwide and selling millions of records. Between 1973 and 1980, she impressively spent 101 weeks in the UK charts with her songs.

Musically, Suzi Quatro remains active and relevant in recent decades: Her 2019 album No Control, created in close collaboration with her son Richard Tuckey, received global acclaim. In 2021, the acclaimed duo album The Devil in Me followed, with Uncovered in 2022 featuring cover tracks – and recently in 2023, her duet album Face to Face with KT Tunstall landed in the UK charts and was awarded “Album of the Year.”

Her fans are her heart: Suzi maintains a close connection through her fan clubs, newsletters, and social media – her energetic live shows like “Rockin On” take the audience on a journey through her life filled with hits and surprises. In 2024, her classic “Stumblin’ In” made a comeback thanks to a dance remix by DJ Cyril, which achieved over 200 million streams on Spotify – a testament to how her music connects generations.

With over 55 years of an unparalleled career in rock ‘n’ roll, over 50 million albums sold, and her status as a pioneer for women in rock – Suzi Quatro is still a living legend. Her live presence, her versatility as a musician, author, and personality icon, and her deep connection with fans make her an unforgettable icon who can never have enough stage time.
