Stefanie Hertel

Stefanie Hertel singer, TV host and actress has been a stage professional for 40 years. Therefore, she has performed since childhood for audiences and cameras. Also, she grew up with music and she gained TV and live experience early on.

In 1992, she won the Grand Prix der Volksmusik with “Über jedes Bacherl geht a Brückerl”. Then came hit albums, tours and awards such as Goldene Stimmgabel, Goldene Henne and Krone der Volksmusik. Therefore, she evolved from a celebrated Schlager star to a versatile entertainer with passions for pop, rock and musical theater.

As a host, she has led major TV shows since 2011. She also impressed on Let’s Dance (third place), The Masked Singer (as the Panther) and Schlag den Star. On Music Impossible, she showed genre openness. In 2023, she played “Tanja” in the musical Mamma Mia! at Hamburg’s Neue Flora.

Together with her husband Lanny Lanner and daughter Johanna Mross, she founded the country‑rock band MORE THAN WORDS. Therefore, she expands her repertoire with country sounds and family harmony. In parallel, she produces and stars in her music theater piece “Ganz Paris träumt von der Liebe”.

Live, she blends charm, playfulness and musical class. With the DirndlRockBand at her side, she brings concentrated women power, live sound and the right dose of rock ’n’ roll to the stage in Nutten, Koks und Edelweiß. Evergreen hits meet modern productions; therefore, her program invites singing, clapping and celebration.

Beyond music, she is socially engaged. As an animal welfare ambassador, she supports the German Animal Welfare Federation. She also promotes projects in nature, education and self‑help and founded “Stefanie Hertel hilft e.V.”.
