Marianne Rosenberg – The Voice for Hearts & Generations
Marianne Rosenberg is one of the unmistakable voices of German-speaking pop and schlager culture. She was discovered as a teenager – at just 14 years old, she won a talent competition, even before her first single “Mr. Paul McCartney” was released, which immediately touched the audience.
In the 1970s, her path was paved with melodies like “Fremder Mann”, “Er gehört zu mir”, and “Marleen” – songs that became classics and still resonate in many hearts today. Between 1971 and 1980, she released more than a dozen albums, toured extensively, was a regular guest on TV shows, and significantly shaped the schlager and pop schlager scene.
However, Rosenberg’s career is not just marked by hits and charts – it is a story of transformation, courage, and connection with her audience. In the 80s and 90s, she purposefully introduced new accents, experimented with jazz, chanson, and current pop trends, and worked on musical arrangements, declaring: I am more than just schlager.
2020 marked another high point: Her album In the Name of Love reached number 1 on the German album charts for the first time in her long career – proof of how strong her connection to her fans still is.
With Colorful Planet (2024) and the accompanying anniversary edition, Marianne Rosenberg celebrates not only her more than five decades on stage but also togetherness: With new songs, celebrated classics, and duets with artists from different generations, she showcases her creative freshness and gratitude towards her fans, and will embark on a major club tour across Germany in late 2025.
