BOVIY, the Hamburg-based indie pop artist with roots in the singer/songwriter genre, is more than just a voice – she is a creative masterpiece. Growing up among microphones and backstage passes as the daughter of two musicians, music was never just a dream for her, but a reality. Previously known as Vivie Ann and Bowie, she released two albums on her own label MyOhMy Records – self-determined, bold, and uncompromising.

With the artist name BOVIY, she started anew in 2021 – and differently. Her first single “Easy” marked the beginning of a sonically mature era. This was followed by the EP “The Upside Down,” a conceptual project about inner turmoil, created in close collaboration with over 100 creatives from the Hamburg arts scene. The songs, infused with electronic sounds, 80s vibes, minimalist beats, and Scandinavian-tinged alt-pop, tell stories of self-discovery, pain, and courage. Particularly, “Berlin Is A Liar” and “No One Knows Me Better” showcase BOVIY’s ability to transform personal experiences into contemporary, atmospheric pop music.

But BOVIY is not just a musician – she is the creator of her own world. From songwriting to artwork and video production to label management: she does it all herself. Her fans appreciate exactly that – her accessibility, emotional depth, and unfiltered honesty. Live, she captivates with charismatic presence and a sense of genuine connection. It’s no surprise that she has already supported acts like Jessie Ware, Milow, and Johannes Oerding, and in 2023 was celebrated by Vogue Germany as one of the most exciting newcomers.
