Julian Janssen

Julian Janssen is more than just a TV host – he is the lovable knowledge explorer who captivates children and families across Germany. Born in 1993 in Stuttgart, he pursued his dream of becoming a music moderator after graduating from high school, but life had bigger plans for him: a degree in media studies and German at the University of Bayreuth, where he gained his first journalistic experiences behind the microphone and in front of the camera.

His journey led him in 2018 to the children’s show “Checker Julian,” which is broadcast on KiKA and ARD. With unmatched curiosity, wit, and passion, he addresses exciting questions, explains complex phenomena in a child-friendly way, and continually manages to astonish his audience.

However, Janssen’s commitment doesn’t end in front of the camera: he is also a voice actor, lending his voice to characters in film productions such as “Das Geheimnis von La Mancha”. Additionally, he has appeared as an actor and uses his voice and presence to inspire children to embrace reading and knowledge.

For his fans, Julian is already a role model: with his live tour “Komm, wir finden´s raus!” he brings his concept of engaging learning directly to the stage – featuring experiments, surprising discoveries, and stories about his own adventures, like a dinosaur expedition in the USA.
